This weekend
Attended Yihui's party on Saturday. Went there with Kenny because I only knew that he's invited too. haha.. the food is GREAT, i like!!! haha. he catered from Kriston.
Bought him a wallet and a card haha. the wallet is very CHIO~ but before we left, we saw another wallet which he received as a present too haha.
i think if not for this party, our clique (i dunno how we form. haha! shd be a combi or the Go-Home clique and the angel/mortal thingy) would have just drifted even more.
oh and i realised yihui's sister was the ASM (assistant stage manager) of 黄城夜韵. no wonder she looks so familiar haha.

Woke up at 5am to prepare for the run. I've been advised by some "more experienced" runners to wake up early to eat breakfast. haha i'm 乖.
anw it's my first marathon. forget abt those cross country during sec sch and JC :P haha. i think i've been training quite well for it. and i've completed the run!! haha non-stop running for about 1 hour. Although the timer showed 1h 13min, we din start on time. in fact, we're about 10min late.
at many points especially near the end, felt like stopping to walk. but dun wan to 对不起自己 so in the end, i ran for the whole event. the run started with me sj xh and xh's sis (wt ran with her fren cos we couldn't find her at the starting point). then slowly, our pace differed and i ended up running alone. i think from now on, i'll run with music. it's easier to run this way because i wun keep looking at the time.
borrowed huazhen's zen for the run cos it's smaller and more portable. and the earphones which i received from my NUSWS mates rock cos it din fall out at all during the run. and so i'm able to blast music through the run.
the signage "cheated" us for quite a few times. especially the "50m" when there's still 2km to cover. but i guess it's all these signages that kept us running. at least for me, the 9.5km at the last part of the run made me dispose the thought of walking. i like the last few metres where there were ppl waiting for their frenz and the finishing line looking very attractive. it was where i picked up speed instead of thinking of whether to walk anot. haha
then, we decided to look for wt who had actually reached home -_- haha. cos she stays very near and finished the run before us.

I am.....
not supposed to blog...
but i wan to rant...
my restriction digest failed. and if u think it's juz a small reaction/experiment, let me tell u it's about 3 days' work.... cos intermediate products run out and things have to start again... ARGH.. i think it's the starting of failures. now i've got to treat failure more lightly. 失败乃成功之母 haha... (and giam told me i'll succeed on the 100th time... thanks ah)
and i realise i'm actually quite a workaholic. or mayb it's juz that time in the lab runs super fast. sometimes i juz wish that i dun have to go off in time for band/sectionals... sometimes band commitments seem too much. BUT i really wish to continue doing sth i like, amidst FYP. it seems that Da Capo will be my last concert, i'll definitely 舍不得.. but who's going to do lab work for me if i continue with band?
[commercial break: buy my concert tix.. $8 only. last concert leh!]
and not only FYP, i still got my modules and projects one lo. after mid sem break still got CAs...
and i dun even have a bit of time to do some 零零碎碎 things.. like... cut hair, collect Drug Info Handbook from Outram Park Choice Text, go back to Tanglewood to settle my withdrawal and get books with my deposit money, settle a time slot for cello lesson (private)...
i'm glad i've frenz out dere who're on the same boat as me. gatherings with Xinhui (HCJC) always end up with us complaining abt labwork and how reactions always fail. it juz feels better to say it out loud.
oh P1 today. quite alright. i think. and i received an email from my sup asking abt P2 dates... shit. what kind of life is this. i can feel all the stress indicators showing positive results...
but i wan to rant...

End of one of the siong weeks

Pharmacotherapy test + Practice Presentation for P1 of FYP...
2 things but actually qt siong cos din really have much free time from all the shuttling between Biopolis lab and NUS lessons. good that i've prepared my drug info sheet before the start of this week so it kind of lightened my load.
so bz that i din even open up my present (1st one this year) from NUSWS bandmates. only opened it when i was on bus 198 this morning:

nice~~! i'll protect it with the black pouch which comes along with it.
listening to music now is a new experience. luv the basses and voices now. hahaha all sound like i'm in a music lounge. =) i cant even hear TV mobile when i was on 198 HAHA. and it makes me listen to a lower volume than usual cos of the "inner ear technology" (am i juz sua ku?). and i realise my left inner ear is smaller than my right inner ear.. -_-

practice presentation was OK... i was having stage fright (as usual) and coupled with the total lack of practice, fumbled throughout the presentation (i tink). at least, my slides were not bad (i tink). haha. and i could answer some of the qns asked. need to do somemore research tho. received an sms from my external sup that i did a gd job.. -_- i'm like... “真的吗？" ahhaa.. okiez.. i need to rehearse very well before the actual thing.

Today
today was actually quite a normal day, but i feel like blogging abt some minor things that happened today.
during work today, i was rinsing my 2L (very long one) measuring cylinder at the washing sink. my colleague was standing behind me waiting to wash her apparatus. so i kindly stepped back to let her use the sink. the measuring cylinder was still my hands. so when i felt that the rinsing was almost done, i poured the water from the cylinder into the sink. i dunno whether the water had splashed onto her or wat she's just shocked that i suddenly poured water near her, she looked at me for a brief moment. i din feel anything was wrong, i just carried on with what i was doing. and then i realised, for the whole of today, she nv really smile at me liaoz... (she usually has a polite smile on her face)
but as i was somebody who gets pissed easily with other ppl, i'm qt sensitive to wat can make ppl pissed. haiz. i dun wan to make enemies in an unfamiliar place, esp. when i'm really really a very small fry. haiz. i tink i better buy nice cookies for them on my last day of internship, so that my FYP will have 好日子过...
and anw, just when i tot i could leave to meet Erina to pass her my GOOD sleeping bag, I went to check on my Nu-PAGE gel running on electrophoresis. my sup was at a meeting and said that she could take over from there. but just when i was about to leave, she was back. and i had to continue doing the transferring of gel (she went for other short meeting after she came back to ask me to continue)
so after i finished the transfer, it was already 6pm. walked to the bus stop and waited for 25min for 95 to meet Erina. when i met her, it was already 6.30pm and i had to reach city hall at 7pm. had arranged with Xinhui (HCJC) to meet her in school after her lab too, to go tog to city hall. so being the "clever" me, i told her 95 and MRT would be very crowded and 95 also had a very long frequency. we went to take 197 instead...
and we reached City Hall at 7.45pm... when we arrived at Muthu's Curry for "jiemeiz meet Xiaoyang" session, it was already like 8pm. Muthu's Curry is okay... but the service is quite... haha... u infer from wat i've to say about the "Can you refill our ice water?" incident. we actually asked for ice water 4 times and it's only the 4th time when we actually got our ice water refilled. we figured that they need to get water from the tap, freeze it down, and take it out, so it's taking such a long time. hahaha..
planned to eat Gelare's 50% (only on Tuesday) waffles but walked past "Donut Factory" and Wei Ting decided to try it. So all of us bought 1 piece each with her too. i had "mint dark chocolate". it was okay, quite soft and chocolatey. but all of them said "Krispy Kreme" one was nicer... and i was the only one dere who hasn't tried it b4.. sianz.. haha..
tok cok abit about old bandmates. xiaoyang is still the same. i realised all of those who went overseas grew thinner. they said it was due to their money saving plans. hahaha

Jiemeiz outing
had jiemeiz outing today. without the MIA tboon. nice to have everyone back (except MIA tboon). exchanged presents we bought for each other from different parts of the world. but vernon said he'll get us a present (car?) after he finishes his 3 yrs in London. HAHA! ya i added the car myself.
nice hanging out. at the ever so familiar TAKA crystal jade. yupz, all of us have grown up. :)
great seeing u all again!!! :)

Come back!!! I miss you all & jiemeiz outings...
Sijia: pls come back and push my head whenever i say sth lame
Xinhui: pls come back and let me push ur head when u're blur :P (heh joking la, i wan to see u scratching ur head)
Wei Ting: just saw u a few days ago. pls organise some badminton sessions :P
Vernon: pls come back and set up let us go ur house play mahjong (and it's always me and xinhui pairing up cos we CMI)
